History Colorado Center, Denver, CO  -  Photographed 2017
In 2017, I photographed the History Colorado Center in downtown Denver, focusing on an axial composition that captures the building’s strong civic presence and symmetrical massing. Designed by Tryba Architects and completed in 2012, the structure houses the state’s historical museum and research archives.
Clad in regional sandstone with a prominent glass curtain wall, the architecture blends classical proportions with contemporary materials, reflecting Colorado’s layered past and forward-looking identity. My photograph centers on the building’s main facade, emphasizing its formal geometry, public scale, and the subtle play of light and shadow across its planes.
This image is a study in how architecture communicates purpose and place through alignment, materiality, and restraint.
