US Bank Stadium – Minneapolis, MN
Photographed on a crisp September morning in 2018, this study captures the bold, angular form of US Bank Stadium - home to the Minnesota Vikings and a striking addition to the city’s skyline. Designed by HKS Architects and completed in 2016, the building’s asymmetrical silhouette and reflective surfaces were intended to echo the jagged geometry of ice formations and the Scandinavian heritage of the region. The stadium has earned praise for both its expressive structure and its innovative use of ETFE roof panels that bring natural light into the expansive interior.
This series focuses on the sculptural exterior in early morning light, emphasizing shadow, edge, and scale.
